Grandma's Peace Dove
« on: August 09, 2014, 10:27:54 pm »
A little while back I posted a project called "Grandma's Guardian Angel" which I had made for my mom while she battled a recent cancer diagnosis.  I'm sad to share that she passed away from the illness in early July. I turned to the scroll saw for some therapy and to help me process emotions during this most difficult of times. As she had a very peaceful, and gentle soul, the word Peace was sort of her trademark. She would often say it and set anyone around her at ease. In memory of her I scrolled the word Peace into this simple Dove. I'm going to give this to her only sister tomorrow, then make one for my Dad and one for each of my older 3 sisters. At 32 I am her youngest of 4 children. Thank you for allowing me to share this story and I hope you all enjoy Grandma's Peace Dove.
Peace.

I share your pain, but I still think that your grandmother left you a wonderful education.
I hope soon find consolation for their loss and resignation, thank you for sharing your emotions with us.
