Yes I can confirm that the Canadian Air force last remaining Lancaster Bomber "V Vera" flew over my house about an hour ago and has now safely landed at RAF conningsby a few miles away.
Although a shame as the intention was for it to meet up with its UK sister and the rest of the Battle of Britain memorial flight, just off our coast , and then be escorted by the Red Arrows to do a fly past at Lincoln cathedral. Due to bad weather conditions that did not happen, oh well she's here for 6 weeks, so maybe tomorrow.
And what about that lucky git on board the canadian craft, a civilian who paid ?43.000 GBP to occupy the only spare seat for the duration of the tour-if only
