car or truck pattern
« on: October 08, 2013, 04:06:23 am »
Hi folks I know I'm a pest but I don't have a clue with pattern making.  I have been asked to make a scroll saw project for a young boy for Christmas of a car or truck any help is appreciated in advance.

Steve, our leader has some good automobile patterns here http://stevedgo.ipower.com/cat/?page_id=2257 and truck patterns here http://stevedgo.ipower.com/cat/?page_id=2270

All Steve's patterns are free for all to use.  He's a great resource for scrollers, beginners or otherwise.  On his blog page http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.ca/, there are links to patterns and to training videos.

Good luck,
Jim

I posted some simple truck patterns not too long ago. I like to cut them from oak, but 2x4 pine will work also.

I used Hobby Lobby wheels but you can cut your own if you prefer.

unfortunately I can't access Steve's patterns if they have a drop down menu. I was more looking for a scroll saw shadow pattern that I can place the child's name on.

You mean like a profile of a truck with his name across the bed? What's his name? I'll try to get you something today.
