I recently posted that I was a new member and new to scroll sawing and was getting a excalibur scroll saw. I ordered the 21" from Woodcraft for $850 roughly. It said it already shipped and is on its way. Then while chatting with my father, he tells me there is one buried under some stuff somewhere in our storage shed that I didn't know about. Sure enough, looked around in there and under some stuff was a 16" Delta scroll saw in a box. I tried canceling my order from Woodcraft but they said it already shipped
. Now I will just have to refuse to accept the order their customer service said and it will be returned to them. I will take the 16" Delta over the $850 Excalibur since it will be my first saw and it is free haha
. The deal is the saw was sitting in the storage shed and the table is covered about 80% rust, how do I get it cleaned up to a smooth table? Do I need to sand it down and then polish it with some metal polish or what would be best?
