This site shows where all the airliners are (in real time).  Click on any plane and it will give you the abbreviation of the airline and flight number.

Also, on the upper right, click: Jump to area

WOW - anyone scrolled across to europe and the UK to look at the concentration of aircraft in the sky there - you can hardly see the land mass for the aircraft!!!!

I posted this original.  Here is an Addendum:

When you click on a particular plane, fiddle with the mouse.  On the upper left of the screen, it will show what airline, plane type, flight origin & destination.  If you wait a little, it will show the path the plane has already taken.
