Well I survived my surgery Monday. Was up at 3:45 am and packed my bag for the hospital. Since I could not have anything to eat my wife made me stop at McDonalds for a McGriddle and she ate it in front of me??..She is cruel that way .
It took 5 hours and they had to extend my b?crack by another 6 inches. I had to be up and to the hospital at 6 am. They put me out at 8 am and I woke up at 4 pm. I have not been back to sleep since I now have been up 24 hours hitting my pain button. I made a clock for my doctor and he was tickled about it. I cut it out of hard maple. It was in the shape of the state of Iowa 12? x 8?.  With the Iowa Hawkeye logo in the upper left corner with a Fancy Arabic 2 ?? insert from Sloan?s in the lower right hand corner. Well it is time to take some good drugs and remove my Teenage mutant ninja shell and sleep.
My doctor was thrilled with the clock.

Wow, that sounds like a big surgery.   Recovery soon.

By the way, I didn't quite get the Ninja Shell reference.  Did you have to wear something to support your back?

Will keep you in our Prayers. I know how you feel, I broke my neck and back when I was younger. Still in pain, but work with it daily and keep moving. Never give into it.

I finally got to sleep last night. Working with the computer for new projects that I can cut when I am moving about better. It will be when the snow starts flying or keefie get his plow bike out. With all of the good drugs I'm taking I kind of feel like I have been out drinking with rob. Grooooogy

Not to mention having an EMPTY BILLFOLD. Just obey the orders and all will be fine. Get well PDQ.

Hey Kink, the worst part is over, you just need to take it easy and do what the doctor says (and the wife too lol) just make sure you get better soon.
And just like to add that Rob was right - your bilfold would be empty if you had been out drinking with him, the cash would be in his wallet lol.
