I have two of this model router. I got the first one as a kit with both the fixed base and the plunge base. I then also bought the D-handle base. I "permanently" mounted the fixed base in the router table and moved the motor between the table and the D-handle. After several years I walked into a deal on another one at a price I couldn't refuse.
I have found them to be strong dependable performers. Two things would make them more user friendly. First, eliminate the need to use two wrenches for tightening the collect; second, equip them with a soft-start capability.
