Was this a free-hand drawing? Excellent.

Getting realistic hair is harder than reproducing facial features. Yours looks just right.

I made the pattern only.  It was a picture, then with GIMP I made a pattern.  I've been trying to learn how to make patterns using different programs, but with some pictures I find it really hard to make a decent pattern.  I'll post pattern in the "Pattern Requests" section.
