new computer ?
« on: April 25, 2013, 12:12:30 pm »
I finally have most everything up and running in the new computer.  BUT how do I make this forum back to normal?
Many words are in red with a double underline...... evidently the words are link to something else?
Unread posts are double spaced.
Every once in a while it says something in this site has caused Internet Explorer to stop working but it comes right back?
any Help would be appreciated.

Judy! Shame on you! Please tell me you are NOT using IE for your browser!!!!

At the very least download and set up Google Chrome!

Contact me directly if you need help!

Be careful with the highlighted words.  I had the same issue with Chrome and it turned out to be a virus.

It was a real pain to get rid of.  I only got rid of it with Spy hunter after trying 2 or 3 others.  My SIL took over.

As far as chrome versus IE, i think that is a matter of personal preference.  I like IE and the new version seems faster.

I like the IE9 my wife uses chrome.
must say some things work better in chromen then in IE9 but the IE10 doesn't work on XP. :'(

Actually I have both Chrome and IE.  And I checked, they are both the same  as far as the red double underlined words in the forum. I use them both depending on the situation.  But I am like an old cow who wants her own stall.  I "grew up" with IE and am used to it and just didn't want the hassel of learning a new browser.

Hey Judy,

if you go over the words with the mouse , can you click on the double underlined words and will a new page open?
(so, is it an hyperlink?)

Hey Judy..Here is my reason for not using IE.  If you are a hacker, then your main goal is to cause as much trouble as possible.  The easiest way to do that is to attack the most popular producer of products in your field.  Microsoft is the most popular producer of pc products and the main target of hackers, virus authors and malware authors.
