Mini Baseball Bats
« on: May 29, 2014, 07:44:08 pm »
Since this is a Scroll Saw forum, I won't post any more of my turning projects, but I thought I would share my first project successes. I have never turned a day in my life until I got my Rikon mini lathe. Since I posted the first bat on Facebook, people have been requesting them one after another. Well I am glad to share this with you. Don't worry, I will always be a scroller.

Very nice!
I have also seen a method by which you can scrollsaw names, etc on the
irregular shaped bats. Sorry I don't recall where but, perhaps a search on
YouTube would find something with a link.
Added work but, you could ask more for the personalization.
Thanks again for showing your excellent workmanship.
God Bless! Spirithorse

Guess what,,,,my husband turned 2 small baseball bats for our grandchildren about 3 weeks ago.  Your look slightly fatter than his though.  Great work Dustin.
