Todays Banh Mi sandwich day in this household. This morning I ground my Thai rice into flour and baked rice and wheat bagettes.
I made a vietnamese coleslaw and marinaded my thinly sliced pork with garlic, onion, lemongrass, fish sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and soy sauce.
Sliced up a jacima and pickled it. I also have some sprouts and cucumber on hand.
I can't get diakon radishes in Northern Wisconsin.
If anyone loves Banh Mi you might like to know that in July a cookbook titled 100 Banh Mi sandwiches is going to be released. Its authored by Jackie Pham.
