How important is the vacuum seal process to make this work? Could you instead just put some weight on it like a heavy book or concrete block?

You wrapped plastic around the package before putting it in the bag - if some of the glue squeezes out and gets on that inner plastic, does it get stuck to the package?

Thank you. Well this is just a technique that I learned and it provides a good even clamping pressure throughout. It was fairly cheap and will get it's money worth. You could probably get away with just a stack of books or something. For the glue squeezing out, the plastic I wrap it in is a polyethylene clear plastic and the glue doesn't stick to it. You might be able to use like a wax paper idk. Thanks again for the reply.
