I've been looking at cordless Hammer Drills for some time now. I have a few things I need to anchor into a brick wall that I've been putting off since I didn't have a Hammer drill.
So, I went to Lowes, picked up a nice Dewalt Hammer Drill. It ran $299 and came with the charger and 2 twenty volt Lithium batteries. I turned the corner and saw the exact same Hammer Drill also for $299, but this one came as a kit and included the Dewalt 20vMax heavy duty impact driver plus the two 20v Lithium Max batteries and charger.
I asked the guy in the tools area, and he said the stand alone $299 was more heavy duty, but after checking, we found it was the identical model. He then said the batteries were higher capacity, but again after checking we found that they were the same.
So basically, they were throwing in a free tool for the exact same price as the stand alone hammer drill. I put a 4 year replacement warranty on it and when home with my free impact driver.
If I hadn't turned the corner and looked down when I did, I wouldn't have even seen this deal.
