I gave my wife a new laptop for Christmas and it had Win-8 as an OS. I don't like it at all and neither does my wife. It is designed to be used as a touch screen also. Even if you change it to the more traditional desktop, still not mouse friendly. I will stay with Win-7, so far has worked great for me.

I've heard people comparing windows 8 to windows ME, which was a total waste. Find yourself a copy of windows 7.
