Candle Holder
« on: January 27, 2013, 10:11:07 am »
This is from one of Steve Good's patterns. The pattern has an art deco look to it so I added the circles in the legs. I cut this on a scroll saw but I think the whole thing could be done on a band saw also. One coat of BLO over the walnut and cherry. I think I'll put a coat of varnish after the BLO completely dries.

The fit isn't perfect but I just wanted to make something yesterday.

It looks great. And it's a good size for a gift to someone.

I think you could replace the candle with a magnifying glass and have a nice table-top inspection unit. Maybe a couple of down-pointing LEDs and a button...   :P
