Xmas Ornament Pattern
« on: December 16, 2012, 03:23:02 pm »
Ok guys and Girls, I have been trying to make a name in Corel draw x5 for about 4 days now and am at a loss.
One wee thing is p!ssing me off.
I get everything except the name welded to the inner circle.
I do have the name in hollow (outline only) but every time I try to weld the name to the circle it is sent behind the circle.
Have tried to send to the back/front and all but to no joy.
I mean Steve has no trouble but his text is filled, me I want no fill. (yeh I know I have to be different). ;D

Some insight into this pleaseeeeeee pretty please. :-*

Hello Merlin, I know nothing of Corel Draw. You could download Inkscape, it's free and I'm sure no where near as complicated as Corel!

Merlin, I can't help with Corel draw but if you show or tell me exactly what you need I would be glad to do it for you in Inkscape.

I have all the pattern done and can cut it as is, but being a perfenceist (sp) it's one wee thing that is peeing me off, .

Thanks for the help.
Must be someone that does Corel Draw hopefully, otherwise will go back to inkscape. hmmmm.

Merlin you might try doing the pattern with fill and after you get everything welded remove the color and set the outline to whatever color you like.

Merlin, In Corel Draw the text has to be converted to curves then you'll be able to weld the text, highlight the text, go to the Arrange tab and then down to convert to curves.
happy scrolling
