Rapid Resizer

Has anyone used the Rapid Resizer program for sizing patterns?  Is it worth the big pricetag of $60?

I certainly don't think so when there are so many other ways to 'skin the cat'.

Too many available computer solutions that are free! If you would like more info on re-sizing for free just PM me and I will send you my recommendations.

If the pattern is in PDF, I normally convert it to a Word doc...Then, the pattern is now an object within the word doc that I can resize as needed...This procedure also allows me to change the line colors to red for better contrast against the blade...I can also make the lines thinner to allow better precision while cutting...And finally, if I want to alter the pattern, I can use the drawing functions of word to add my own personalizations (I've done this on several of Steve's patterns).

I agree, don't waist your money. There are to many free programs out there.
When you say patterns, are they  .pdf, .jpg, .bmp, .svg.

ripchief; how do you convert a PDF to Word doc?  I assume you are using MS Word. Darn, I hate to assume anything. Thanks for your help!

I use this website that offers free conversion:

It does come with a limitation of one file within 30 minutes, but it works well...I used to use an application called PDFconvert, but this site is just simpler.

On another note, I usually extract the applicable page out of the PDF file before doing the conversion to keep the file size more pertinent and reasonable.

Yes, MS Word...It's actually more powerful than people give it credit.

Y'all just saved me 60 Bucks. This just proves what I already knew...that theres a lot of 'know how' in this group and not limited to scrollsawing.  Thanks for sharing!
