The blade holder on my old Delta 40-650 blow apart yesterday in the middle of a puzzle.

The blade holder should still be available, I think it is the same as on the newer saws.

The blade holder on the old Delta's are not the same as on the new Delta's. In fact the new Delta scroll saw blade clamps are just like the DeWALT saw.
You should be able to get parts at:

This might be the time to upgrade!
