The Sand-Flee is a drum finishing sander. Stockroom supply sells the components that can be used to build your own.

However, by the time you add a motor, etc. it would cost roughly
the same as a Sand-Flee. Matthias Wandel has a set of free plans
on his website for a thickness sander that could probably be modified
to make a finishing sander.
