Are you looking for a wooden gear clock, or a something with a clock insert?  Steve has many patterns for clock inserts in his pattern section.  As for a wooden gear clock, I'm not aware of any free patterns, unless you buy certain issues of Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts magazine.

Wooden gear clock plans in issues #26 and 42 of SSW&C mag.  Don't know if there are any available through their website.
