This is weird!
« on: May 06, 2012, 08:39:22 pm »
Sitting on the patio after a nice meal and the birds are chirping up a storm!

7 months ago I would have not even heard them much less been annoyed by them!!!
Gotta go get my 'remote' and turn down the volume on this Bionic Ear!
I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788

We had a flock of Cockatoos fly over this morning, there must have been 50 or more of them and let me tell you I could have done with a bionic ear that I could turn down, you could not hear yourself think.  :D :D

What a lovely complaint GB. Don't turn the volume down too much lol.

That's fantastic GB, now if I could only turn down the ringing in my ears!

LOL!!  Lucky you  :D My neighbor would give her right arm to be able to hear the birds sing!  She's been deaf all her life.

I love the gentle tweets of birds in spring. But unfortunately the blue jays show up and they have the most annoying screeching squawk I have ever heard. But I take the good with the bad.. :D

It was a long time before I even realized I wasn't hearing the bird on a daily basis until I started realizing I was not able to understand what my grand kids were saying to me, thank goodness for bionic ears. Still have hearing problems because the bionic ear doesn't make my hearing as good as original, but it is sure better than it was. At least I can understand my grand kids better now, well, most of the time.
It is nice to hear even the noisy birds though.
Have a great day.

I bet it is taking some getting used to, but enjoy the noise!

Everytime I read one of your posts about this it makes me double check that I have my ear plugs in when in the shop. It makes me remember just how precious sound can be.
