So does any one here use dip coating to apply any colors to the projects?
I have recently begun to dip coat with shellac which works great, easy and fast with a nearly perfect result.
I'm now thinking of making more dip baths. I think it would be worth to make one with white color, which I use from time to time (and then probably more often). I think of a white water based acrylic bath, which would have the advantage of not having another solvent bath. Some ply woods don't take it well (birch ply is quite ok when oiled before), but massive wood would be fine anyway.
Does anyone use such color baths? any experience available?
