Just posted a picture of a howling wolf I finished cutting and sanding in the gallery. Need to decide if I want to paint or stain it. Suggestions !!

Nicely done as for a finish I would probably stain it a medium color. Thanks for sharing it with us.

very nice, I dont think a light or a dark stain would do it justice, so I agree with DW, a medium coloured stain would compliment it best.

Thanks everybody, I was leaning toward a medium shade of stain. The wood is some scrap DH had in the scrap barrel. It's a composite, probably mdf not sure.
