Love doing portraits
« on: May 26, 2010, 07:49:51 am »
I made this portrait of and for my wife and she really liked it. I just started doing portraits about 2 months ago and I think hers is my best one yet, as I think it should be LOL! I do these in Corel Paint Shop Pro 2 and make the patterns from the photos. I have a few others on my site and I am getting into details maybe a little more than I should as they become very fragile.

It is really a beautiful likeness of her!  I haven't tried portraits yet but I can only imagine how delicate the pieces can be!  Thanks for the inspiration, you did a really great job!

I like the details as you talk about.  It brings out the highlights in her hair and all.  I really need to learn pattern designing, then I can expand my horizons.  Nice job on the cutting too.
