Steve's Military Letters

Just thought I would share some of Steve's military letters I made. I made a few modifications to personalize them for relatives and friends.  Hope the attachments come through.

very nice, the colours set them off perfectly.  you have a nice glossy finish too, what did you use to finish them?

Thanks y'all !  I've used Corel for years and now I've learned a lot more from Steve's videos. He's really expanded my knowledge of the program. 
On most of my projects, I use regular hobby acrylic paints and Elmer's paint markers after I stain them. Then I just spray polyurethane on them. I spray a real light first coat to keep from yellowing, especially when using white paint. Then I spray several more coats. They usually come out ok. Sometimes on an outdoor project, I may use some spar varnish.

Also, If you use a water based poly you will have much less yellowing of white paint. Lacquer also yellows less then poly but has a tendancy to bleed some inks/paints if applied too thick.

Thank you all for your kind comments.  It is much appreciated.  And thanks, mrsn, for the post about the water based poly. When I read that, I thought "DUH".  I was told about that quite a while back and just completely forgot about it.  Just the habit of grabbing the same old can, and old age I guess.  hahaha  Thank you for reminding me. I will remember this time, and try it soon on the next ones. I've got quite a few more to do of all the military branches.  I will post them, too, when they're finished.  I will make it a point to post more projects on here in the future. I am on facebook, which is where all my stuff is posted. No special page, just my home page.
