Spring Fair. What to sell?
« on: February 24, 2012, 02:16:18 am »
Hi guys/gals
I am checking my stock and am planning on making lots of sawdust, as most stock is winter stuff. Now before I start making a lot of dust, I would like to hear your ideas on what you think would sell well at a Spring Fair. I plan on making bird whirligigs, just ordered some garden critter patterns, also thought of Steve's potplant holder and maybe some coasters for outside use with fruit figures.
Any ideas welcome. It's an all day fair which is a first to me, so I want to make simple yet saleable nice stuff. Any tips, suggestions welcome.

Thanks Marcel,
When I saw this pattern, I realized I have it somewhere. Will make some. What did you sell them for?

Windchimes are alway popular.  Garden Flowers painted bright colors, ducks and chickens for the garden.  Welcome signs (various numbers to hang on the bottom of the sign). Hummingbirds are always popular also.  Anything Spring or summer related.  People like to put stuff out in the yard and flower beds.
Hope this helps

I am always amazed at how a post can change it's course by one remark. I think that is one of the reasons I love this place. Always time for a punt at the appropriate time and support when one needs it.
Just a great place to be.
