A friend of mine thats a carpenetr asked me if I wanted to go with him to look at some tools.  He gets used tools from a guy that buys them and then he parts out the tools for a hefty profit.  He gets the tools from auctions, garage sales, craigslist, etc.  He parts out most of the tools on Ebay and makes a nice profit doing it since he is retired.  Well I went with him and he had a Powermatic Model 50 6" Jointer,  well needless to say it went home with me for $200.  He put brand new knives in it and she works beautifully.  She does have some rust though.  I will probably take her all apart in the next few months and do a full rebuild on her and repaint to the original metallic green.

That's what I call being in the right place at the right time. Good for you and I hope you get a lot of use out of it.

Well done.

Nice!  I've picked up a few tools from lucky circumstances.
