Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave

We got one of the first Amana Radarranges that came off the boat in Alaska back in 1975 or 1976.  People we didn't even know came over to see us blow up a marshmallow!  You can get one about the size of a cantaloupe until it "pops" and deflates.

One thing is that the simple math has changed to for kids.  If I had a gallon of milk that cost $3.79 and a loaf of bread for $3.50 and paid $3.49 for gallon of gas and bought 20 gallons. What would the total be?  I can't remember what the value of a dollar is.  Whats a middle class?

Food for thought

Boy iggie the first thing I thought about when reading your message was when police cars had V-8's and 4 barrels and lap belts.
I clearly remember that sucking sound and movement backward when you put the pedal to the metal.  The speedometers topped at 120 mph.
When I was in high school I used to drive my dads Buick Wildcat that had a 465 hp engine with a 4 barrel

Toured a small museum displaying a 1940's kitchen.  I not only knew what everything was, I'd used most of it.  Ouch!  Oh, and when I was "little", I took my wagon to the ice plant to bring ice home for mom's ice box.  Been awhile anyone's done that.

Hey crabbyboater.
I remember an older couple from lakewood Wisconsin that cut lake ice in the winter and stored it in a shed after it was covered with saw dust.  He had a two pump gasoline station and he serviced vacationers.  It was common to store ice like that.  He use to talk about Wayne King, the orchestra leader stopping there alot during the summer.  He left an impression on me as a kid.  Broken Swedish accent, wire rim glasses, hair creamed and combed back and always coveralls.
