If I can't turn the mistake into a design feature, I try to repurpose the wood.  If I can't do that it becomes fodder for the smoker.

Since I have made a couple of mistakes like that I kind of wish Pete was around for advice back then. LOL Naw just kidding, they have never found them, they just ran away from home.  LOL

5 min. epoxy mixed with dust for the small opps, mix it slap it on and see what happens....

Mine go in a box of scraps. Never know when I need a small piece or something to practice on.

CA glue can fix most of my oops's and a little wood filler or sawdust helps also. I do have a couple of pieces that I sprayed white to cover up an ugly patch, No one would ever notice.
