Ok this is a dumb question but how do you use the smileys that are above the box for posting. Tried a few things like changing the standard setting etc but so far nothing. I know it will be simple and I'll feel an idiot when I find out how but hey thats nothing new.

Just click on the one you want and it will appear in the text box. It will appear as an ASCII type symbol until you post then poof they are there.

Thanks for the info. I knew it was going to be simple. Never realised that they came up as an ASCII symbol and then changed. I thought they appeared on the text box as a smiley. Now going to stand in the corner with my dunce cap on. Thanks again

Many others may have wondered the same thing. Now they don't have to ask because you were brave enough to do it for them.

Hi Normcat, just proves the old saying, "you don't learn if you don't ask". How's the weather in South Lanarkshire??.

No worries about asking questions. I have gotten much "stupider" questions from my students.

Hi rob roy weather at the moment is cold and sunny. Suits me just fine, a little warmer would be perfect, but not too warm. Middle 60's F is my ideal temperature.
