Need help with this

I would like to make a portrait of my friend Dan for his wife. For some reason I can't make anything that looks good. So, I am asking for help from the masters....



I don't need the background clutter.

Yep the photo is missing. Or it could be that Dan has a blank look on his face. LOL, just kidding, couldn't resist.  :)

This will do great. I tried but could not figure out how to do the gray hair and mustache.
