Hello...
« on: December 28, 2011, 02:58:12 pm »
    Hello everybody. Been away for a while. How's everybody doing? A lot has happened since I last wrote. Retired from the THFD, surgery on my shoulder. Been extremely busy on my small engine work, (just finished up my last job for this year). Then I had a fight with my tablesaw last week, six stitches later, I realized I'm no match. My wife Chris grounded me from my shop until my stitches come out. I have not had time to even scrollsaw! But thats changing! I started a newly-wed clock for my daughter. Got to have it done by March. Graybeard.... Dawie....SP 343....Cherie....Judy....Dan, and the rest, I missed ya all! I retired July 1st, and went back to work the middle of Oct. I guess Dunk was right! I got extremely bored. Well I'll talk to you later. Dave
              P.S. Hows Charlie doing?????? ;D

HI Dave!   Great to hear from you but I am shocked at the 'tussle with the TS!"
Thank God only 6 stitches...my son lost the end of his thumb.

Happy New Year to you and I promise to look you up next time I take a trip to Cincy with my S.O. Probably about Feb. 18th...weather permitting!

~~~GB~~~
I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788
Hey Dave, Nice to hear from you again! Sorry to hear about the battle with the table saw. You know the ts will always win! At least you didn't lose anything!
Charlie is still active in the group, Chris - SP 343 doesn't come around anymore and Cherie comes and goes as does dawie. We almost lost Judy, or it seemed, but she is back and just as active as before. As for GB, Well he has gained a bionic ear. He can probably hear me typing this all the way from Missouri!
    Dan good to hear from you. I'm so sorry I've been away so long....didn't mean to be! Russ. Retirement is great, but I miss the people I worked and lived with. Its kind of sad to see that big red truck roll down the road and not be on it. What happened to Judy???? I hope she's doing well. What about Shelia? GB has a new ear......wow. I have been gone to long. I can see it now, a new show on tv. GB and the 6 million dollar ear. He risks his live to go behind enemy lines, to hear what he can for his government. He may not be able to outrun the enemy.......but he'll hear them coming.... Make for a great tv show, I think.
http://www.sawstop.com/ - That system prevents the lost of fingers. Welcome back.
I think by now GB doesn't even open his eyes any more. He's like a bat, he can hear the things.
Hi Dave, good to hear from you. Yep, the old table saw will leave you bleeding, black and blue. You will get use to retirement and once you do you'll love it and you will get to spend more time with us. My heart still skips a beat when I hear the sirens wailing though.  :)
And that is why I am too much of a chicken to use a Table Saw ;D Thanks for your concern, I spent a goodly amount of time in the hospital this spring but am slowly bouncing back.  The way I am built, bouncing just comes easy  :D Glad to have you amongst us again.
