question about finish
« on: December 22, 2011, 10:26:40 pm »
I finished two boxes this week and used a spray lacquer. After two days the finish seems fully dry,  but still has a string smell. So how long for the finish to fully cure?

Hey Tom, Check the can. It should tell you. By my experience, It should take about four or five days to fully cure. However once it is dry to the touch, you can handle it all you want.

I use spray lacquer a lot. You will have a smell for about a week. After that it will pretty much fade away..

I agree it takes about a week inside. I set my projects outside (weather permitting) and it seems to only to take around four to five days.  8)

Put it on the heating (if you're allowed too). A bit of warm might help to speed the process up.
