Memoral

Hi Steve I was wondering, on the memoral plaques I had planed on painting them black with a satin polly finish. Question is would it be better to leave them a natural wood or some other finish?

I'm not Steve obviously but in my opinion, if u were going to paint it, I'd paint it gold or silver.  I only say that due to the shape representing a badge.  Then again natural wood looks nice too.  Sorry if I am butting in.

Was thinking of black only because it is a memoral, usually a black arm band or numbers are used for memorals. But that is why I have not finished them yet I would like to do it right.

I am probably going to use oak ply and leave them natural.

I agree with Charlie. If painted use silver or gold, if not natural.  :D

I intentionally left the details up to the cutter. I want these to be as individual as possible. If you want to paint them go for it. Cut them from ply, hardwood or acrylic. Just know that each one is cut in the memory of the officers.
