Hey GB, I have one very similar tucked away in my garage. That thing is solid cast iron and weighs a ton! Heck I'll give it to anyone willing to haul it away!

Gb that IS an antique saw. I still have the manual & parts list with mine. It's from 1939 and many parts are under 1 dollar to replace. [Back then]  ;)

reminds me of when I asked my friend years ago ... what can i do with a computer with 256K of memory?...reply...does your canoe need an anchor!

Just guessing here but is it possible it was a typo error?
$50.00 instead of $500.
Wouldn't be too bad a deal at that price, and would make a cheap anchor too!

     Crazy ! I had one of these given to me, it had a tag on it from 1930 ???  I just sold my boats, so no need as a boat ancker (sp). At least I got it at a good price.
