Is there a rule when you sale something you make but the pattern is the creation of someone else? Do you have a % you have to give?

Is there a rule when you sale something you make but the pattern is the creation of someone else? Do you have a % you have to give?

There is no percentage to give back to the creator of the pattern.  When you purchase the pattern you are giving money to the designer.  That's why it's important to support designers by purchasing patterns instead of copying from someone else.  There are also pattern makers who don't charge for their patterns, but they retain the copyright on the pattern so an individual may not copy and sell the patterns.
