Please help with EX21

Hello everyone!
I live in Ukraine and recently purchased excalibur ex-21. Unfortunately there are very few people who own this saw here and sadly even if they are out there somewhere i don't know them to ask some advises, so i went here to ask your help guys :)

So, i do something wrong with it. First problem occured with it - the the nut on the screw which holds the lower rod under the saw table went through this rod (!) and didn't hold it anymore, so i got a beating noise and was wondering what is going on. Found it and fixed it with the washer but couldn't screw it down till the end, so it left kind of untight.

Then, i try to scroll the 38 mm pine - it's very very slow, very hard to scroll - i don't think it should be like this! OK, it's 38 mm, but it's pine after all! I use flying dutchman ultra reverse blades, tried all - 3,5,7,9. From time to time it's ok, other times it piece start to wobble, just today i tried to make a U-shaped turn - the saw itself started to make growing buzz :(
Yes, i've read about tension, i've read that i shouldn't push to hard, 'saw will do it itself, blade will just go with the grain direction' (!) this makes me want to cry :) i don't have that at all
Also toady i discovered that my blades goes back and forth in arm's plane, i mean, horizontally. So it doesn't go strictly vertical with every stroke.

I hope you understood my messy story, english naturally is not my native language :)
very big thank for any help :)

I would take saw back to where you purchased from. You should not have these problems on a new saw,

Sorry to ask a stupid question willyns but it must be asked. In reading your issue of your blade moving horizontally, after you tighten your blade, are you flipping over the tension lever? From what I've been reading of your problem, the symptons sound like your not doing this. Is this possible?

ok, it looks like i have it fixed. the technique from here - http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/beginners-scroll-saw/41616.htm helped me, my saw now works much better
still there is the room for experiments with the blades, but in general it's fine, and i finally felt this when 'saw does everything itself, blade just go with the grain direction'
thanks everybody :)
