Today something different - a pendant made from aluminium.
Cut on a scroll saw :)

Very nicely done .. I like that a lot.  What blade did you use?

Nice! I have tinkered with the idea of doing some similar stuff. Just haven't tried it yet..

Love this!!!! I really love making jewelry, there are so many fun options when you have a scroll saw.
Aluminum cuts really well on the scroll saw, I have cut up to 1/4" on mine. When it is thin you need to have a sandwich of wood around it or it will bend and bind the blade. I think I used a number 5 on my last aluminum piece.

Again, this is so awesome!!! Fantastic job!

Wow fantastic.  I have the blades and I have some aluminum and I have the jewelry patterns I just need to get around to doing something with all 3.

If you are ever looking for metal to scroll with, check out the roofing section of the big box hardware stores. They have steel and aluminum flashing that works great.

I used proxxon "Super Cut" blades. They do not have a number but they look like number 3 from other producers.

mrsn is right - if you want to cut aluminium you have to have a sandwich of wood around it.
I used a single layer of 4mm plywood under the aluminium.

That is very nice!

Want to try that after the Christmas rush...I have a whole "Yield" highway sign just begging to be cut into small pieces for things like this.
