Wanted to vent to you guys because I knew u would understand. I made a wonderful letter opener with a Celtic design in the handle. It was special because I cut a log down to size with my chainsaw. Squared it with a table saw then planed to thickness. It literally went from log to finished piece. I got it cut and finished and not thinking I sat it on top of a small board on my lathe table. Well my elbow eventually hits the board, they both topple and the opener breaks. I was so mad at myself I immediately took it to the fire pit and burned it with some scraps LOL..

Yup, It's happened to me too. Last year making stuff for the Christmas season I knocked over four completed projects and broke them all! I keep one of them on the "shelf of shame" to remind myself not to do it again.

We all do it, and as long as all that is broken is a project, it's not that big a loss. My tag line is "measure twice, cut once, count fingers" and as long as I still have all my limbs I will consider any other accidents within reason.
