Hello
« on: October 31, 2011, 11:56:10 am »
I've been a fan of Steve's patterns for about a year, but so far I've only used some of the ornament patterns for papercraft projects.  I'm a consumate crafter (so many crafts, so little time), and I love trying new methods and media in my creative endeavors.

I've been interested in working with wood for some time, and recently a friend gave me his old scroll saw when he acquired a new one.  So, my winter goal is to learn to use it.  Yes, I'm a total newbie.  I plan to start with Steve's Scroll Saw School and videos.  Any other good resources you know of would be welcome.

When I browsed this forum, I got the impression that it was a good community and a great resource for sharing, finding information, and learning.  So, here I am, logging in from Iowa.

Glad you found us. One word of warning Scrolling is addictive, but then here we don't care we are all addicts. We like the sound of scroll saws and the smell of wood dust. Hope you enjoy the forum and ask your questions, someone is bound to know the answer or where to look for it.

David from the Netherlands.
