i use a xyron machine for my patterns. it basically puts my patterns on sticky paper. the paper is a litle pricy unless you have coupons. I get it at michaels craft store. I have never had a pattern come up while cutting and it peels off very easily when you are done provided you get the repositionalbe paper and not the permanent. i think the machine was 130.00 or so but every once in a while they have 50 percent off coupons and the paper is 32.00 for a 40 foot roll, again wait for the coupons. i have my neighbors keep coupons for me and when you buy something they usually give you another coupon for 40 percent off your next purchase. no glue mess, no waiting for the glue to get tacky no hair dryer to remove the pattern and you can sand and stain right away because you don't have to wait for the mineral spirits that you used to remove the pattern to dry. I have used 8 1/2 x 11 inch single labels--I found them one time on e-bay and I think it was about $12-15 for a box of 100--only use them with a very detailed pattern--I think they work great--just mho---Richard aka thumbs

I use a simple adhesive paper (office) to print on regular sheets. When my cut is made, a simple flick of grinding (vibrating) and everything is gone.

I also use a Xyron machine.  I purchased mine off ebay and it came with a partial roll of adhesive and another full box and a magnetic roll for $75 plus shipping.  I am very happy with it.
