I lived and worked in Texas back in the 70s, Little town of Comanche, at Croker's blacksmith and welding shop. Ken was the best boss I ever had, a drought however cut my tenure short. I'd have loved to stay but a guy has to eat. Eventually returned to Arizona and didn't leave until 1998 to move here to Oregon at retirement. Still miss the Southwest!

I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about, every one of us know just where to look for the flaws in our own creations. I've worked with metal, horn, leather and wood, and was never completely satisfied with the result. My wife is a quilter and feels the same way, and I would challenge any of you to find a flaw in her work, but they are there all though hard to find.
I of course started on the hardest part of this pattern, the wheels. Tried using a spiral, NOT GOOD.
The whole thing was a learning experience and I'm proud to have completed it that was a big challenge just to persevere.
Thanks for all the encouragement and kind words, I'll trying to live up to them.

We're both dated for knowing songs like that.
Do you remember Eddy Arnold's Cattle Call? He was quite a Gentleman and had one of the all time best voices in country western singing.
I sure miss those great songs and singers.
Nothing like the True Western songs are heard on radio or wherever any more.
I think Marty Robbins was the last of them.
This should have been in the coffee shop but OH WELL...

Since you owned up to it I'll give you a C+ for truthfulness. 

Thanks for the nice comment on the train, the pattern is quite nice maybe some day I'll re-cut it just to see if I can do it better. I have some other train patterns that are much more detailed than that one that I'm hoping to cut after a while, but I'll sure use something a whole lot thinner next time!

Marion I screwed up on the names Price and Pierce and didn't see my mistake until I read it for the third time. Duh!! Part of getting old is my excuse, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
