I haven't seen the pedal thingy that lifts the arm. That is intriguing.  I don't know if I will use the foot pedal or not. I suppose it will remain to be seen as I use the saw more. I am working on drawing this week and getting some new stuff ready to cut so I can try the saw out properly.  I can't wait! :)

Looks like the EX-21 is the next step up from the Dewalt.  Please let us know the improvements and increase value especially for making bowls on a scroll saw.  Competing with turned bowls is difficult but with a scroll saw you make such better utilization of the wood.  ie not so much waste on the floor.

The biggest advantage to the EX21 in the tilting head.  Your table stays stationary.  When cutting on an angle - you don't have to fight gravity to stay on your line.  It tilts both directions 45 degrees.
