tension lever on ex-21
« on: April 08, 2011, 01:35:55 pm »
I can no longer get the tension level on my ex21 to go far enough back to completely  set to lever  to the rear--I'll be cutting and all of a sudden the lever pops up--Any one else have this problem --The small plastic set screw is down about 1/8 in and is stuck. I have tried to raise this but am just tearing it up--any help will be great--Thanks  Richard aka thumbs >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Richard, I take it your EX21 has both the front and rear adjustments.  Mine is an older model and only adjusts at the front.  Call Ray Seymore at Seyco 1-800-462-3353.  He can talk you through getting it readjusted.

thanks Julie--I solved the problem--I sat looking at it and the thought of cleaning the ends turn screw on the blade clamp came to mind---SOOOOOOOOO I cleaned real well with acetone to get any oils off and then sanded the cam lever lightly.  works like a charm now . I'm a happy camper now--Richard aka thumbs
