Road trip to TN
« on: April 04, 2011, 10:47:10 am »
I am leaving on Friday to take a trip to see my sister in TN.  Looking forward to the 7 +/- hours  of driving time, as I will not have to worry about anyone but me.  Music as loud as I want and listen to what I want !!
I am taking the Router that my brother in law gave me, so he can show me how to use it correctly.  Will also get lessons on making picture frames and tips on finishing.  Going to take a few boards I have to let him throw in his planer also.
Should I act like I have no clue until he has about finished with all of my projects ??
Hoping that with what I have learned from everyone here and his guidance I will come back and be able to ?up my game? with my projects.   Marion

You got room in your car, I could use lessons on all those and I have boards that need to be planed
I love the smell of saw dust in the morning.

With so much nice hardwood in Tennesse i would leave plenty of room on the return trip for wood.
you might be able to find a sawmill and load up on their cutoff to keep you busy for a long time

have a great trip

Hi Marion,

Great that you are coming down to TN.  A little cloudy here, but the temp is in the 70's.  For sure, wave as you go by.

Actually I will be going up .... MS coast area to around Lawrenceburg, TN
GB.. if it were close to you I'd stop and get coffee not wave  :o :o
Bad weather heading into TN right now but looks ok for Friday.
yyyyyguy...have room in the vehicle but the whole point is just me, I, and myself for 7 hours  ;D
My brother in law gets cedar from the Amish so will see about getting a few pieces and see what else they have.
Getting excited and at my age it takes a lot for that to happen !!!!!

No problem Denny ..  GB nicknamed me "wrong way Marion"  so it was smart of me to know I will be heading north on the interstate !!!!

If you go through Millington, give a wave to the Naval base there where our guys are in training.
Drive Safe, and enjoy yourself. You'll have to tell us all about your trip when you get back.
Play dumb until most of the work is done then try it for your self, be sure to watch closely with a confused look on your face, gets them every time. LOL
Looking forward to your story.
