easter egg crosses
« on: April 03, 2011, 05:45:08 pm »
Has any one tried Steve's egg/crosses? I'm having a "dickens" of time (does anyone ever use "dickens" anymore) getting the egg centered so the cross comes out even/centered, can't use a broken/miscut egg for much else than firewood
I love the smell of saw dust in the morning.

Do you use the form to clamp the eggs in.  This makes is square and easier to cut.  I cut two that were ok but the eggs are a little expensive especially for firewood.

I used it but I'm having a hard time squaring up the egg so the cross looks centered, maybe just need to be more careful ???

I found it very difficult, trashed three eggs then went to sticking 1/16 balsa on the front, looks quite good.
