Pinned end blades

I have a few dozen pinned end blades that I am willing to part with for alot less than I paided for them. or swap for an interesting plan.

Why don't you knock the  pins out and use them, thats what I will do when my new saw arrives

Huh. Never thought of that. I guess it would work.

When I first started scrolling that is all I could use.  Then one day after getting the blade holder kit, I went from pinned to straight and Jaun started taking the pins out.  They worked for what I needed.

I am going to have someone help me get the pins out. I can't seem to do it.

Grind them off!!!
Or open your vice just enough for the pin to fit loosely and hit the other end of the pin with a ballpeen hammer and drive it down and out.
They must be a press fit going in so they should come out the same way.

Lay the blade flat ona piece of steel with pin just over the end and give it a sharp tap with a light hammer and the pin will either drop staight out or you can take it out easly with a pair of pliars

You can drive the pin into a piece of Pine. That has worked for Me.

I had my wife try to knock them out, but she didn't have much luck. I'll have a friend of mine come by to try it

     I still have a scroll saw that uses pin blades. I keep a #5 blade in it at all times and use it for long straight cuts. Keeps from having to change to one more blade. I do a LOT of compound cuts, so I glue up a strip of patterns, then cut them in strips. With my old #5 blade and my old Dremil - I always have SOMETHING to do, as I keep these on hand at all times.

?? I don't see why you'd spend $15 of your time to avoid having $3 worth of blades you can't use.

To remove the pins take a good pair of small vise grip pliers grab the pin with one and the blade at (the close as possible to the end) of the blade with the other.By twisting the pin back and forth the pin will usually come off.I have used this long ago before I had a saw that took pin less blades for feeding into inside cuts
