Would you believe.  Went to the pantry and not a black-eyed pea to be found.  So much for this year.

Forget the black eyed peas and go coastal instead.  I smoked some fish and made a batch of smoked fish spread for ;D New Years!  It went really well after the gumbo!

I was wondering what these black eyed peas where, thanks for the google info Marcel.
Hope everybody who ate them has good luck this year, but to evrybody that ate something else I wish the same.

Carry black eyed peas and dried cabbage in my wallet.  Peas for luck and cabbage so my wallet will always have money in it.  I change it out every New Years.
