I am "Pooped"!

Worked the usual two hockey games Fri. night.
One was the best game I have seen in 4 years of working at the rink.
Two undefeated teams working toward their divisions's championship this year. 3 - 2 final and fast and furious from start to finish. Those kids needed NO Lullabies Fri. night after that exertion!
Great crowd of appreciative parents and students...over 600 in attendance for a High School game!

Saturday...
Craft Fair from 9 to 4 and two more hockey games last night!
Got home just before 11:00!!! Made for too long a day for this ol' man!

Not much action at the 'fair'...sold just over $100.
People just don't want to pay for 'nice' merchandise! Lots of "OOOH's and AAAAh's but when they see the price they walk away.  

Now to get busy making the gifts for the family...
 but TODAY I am straightening up and RESTING!
Will get busy cutting tomorrow....

Gheezz GB, I only had an all day show yesterday and I'm still tired tonight! I know you enjoy working with the kids, so that is not to bad.

It actually does my ol' heart good that as the season progresses the teens begin to say HI and even stop to talk.
I admit all the players to the locker room area so they all say hi and ask how the previous game is going or what the officials are like on a particular night.
Last night I clued one of the coaches in on the fact that the puck was coming off the glass behind the goal very fast for some reason so they should have their goal tender be aware of 'rebounds'.
They all know I used to play and officiate so they respect my 'observations'.
Of course i get to know a lot of the parents and I get 'questioned' if I am not there on a particular evening due to other commitments!

It is hell to be retired!
You never seem to find for everything you want to do!

It's a tough life GB, but someone's got to do it!
