I agree with the idea that everybody should be able to take part. And as said simple can be very beautiful. It's the idea that counts, just that somebody here made it means enough to me. That somebody took the trouble to make it and mail it via snail mail.
Waiting to hear how we are going to do this futher.

I agree, It's about giving, not receiving. Beginners should not be intimidated. It's about sharing your goodwill, not a talent contest!

Having some default patterns is a great idea. That way everyone can participate. But don't limit the creative abilities. If someone wishes to cut the last supper on an ornament and can do it I am sure the person receiving it would be tickled pink.

Exchanging hand made things like this with others that enjoy this craft is what makes it special. Too bad we can't do it in person.

I think this is fantastic. I can't wait to get started. I like the default pattern idea, that way we could choose from them, or if the person felt comfortable enough they could design there own.

Do we have a Travel Agent in the group?
Maybe they could get us a real cheap rate on flights to "Chaplain Ron's" place for the exchange!

Sure hope you have lots of room Ron!

Seriously Folks....I feel the thought, time and effort means a lot more to most of us than the 'intricacy' of the actual gift.
Just knowing it was made specifically for me and having a 'special present' to open at the appointed time is already getting me excited!

Russ, get your Red Suit cleaned and pressed!!!

I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788
